Reading is extremely important at Barton Clough. It is part of your child's homework each night. Please write in your child's reading journal when you have listened to them read. If reading records are signed, your child will change their reading books every Monday.

Your child will read in class as part of a reading group once a week. Please bring reading books to school every day as children are also listened to one to one throughout the week, for extra reading support.
