The most important home learning for your child is to share a story or book at home each day. For some children, this will involve an adult simply reading to the child and just enjoying the book together. If your child is a more independent reader, please encourage your children to decode the words in their books and ask them simple questions about what they have read in order to promote understanding. In addition, we will send home reading comprehension questions regularly for your child to complete.

Try to read at home every night for 5-10 minutes. Don't forget to write in the reading record to let us know how your child is getting on or any wobbles your child may have.
